im on my 2nd time round now with wfp. only getting the odd spot on windows, on the whole customers seem well pleased. its the patio doors i seem to be getting spots and streaks from the heads. am i doing some thing wrong or do they sometimes take a bit longer to come good. >:(

Some patio doors have air vents in the top.
I didn't really notice this until i went to WFP and had the same problem.
So just make sure you get no water in the vents and they should come up great.

Another thing to watch for an patio doors is the rubber seal that holds the glass in.
Sometimes there can be gaps in it, particularly at the top of the pane, your water will get in there and draw out any dirt or old detergent residue and can cause spotting.
More of a problem on older patio doors though.
The newer, all UPVC ones should come up tops, if you wash all of the frames too, make sure everything is thoroughly rinsed around the top of the doors.
If you are worried, then make sure it isn't the last window you clean, then when you have finished the rest you can nip back and give the glass only a light going over, making sure you don't get the frame above the glass wet, try to stay just shy of the top of the glass, you sholdn't pick up any residues this way.

I do a quick detail across the top of pane at joint with rubber seal. I use a dry microfibre and this has stopped the runs from damaged seals at top of patio doors.

Yeah first time I do the patio doors twice, I make sure the handle is pulled up (to seal the door) and then I brush the whole door making sure I get all the dirt from the top of the door then give it a real good rinse - do the rest of the house then repeat the process with the patio door - takes a bit longer than maybe how others do it, so just letting you know how I get passed it.

thanks ian. good idea doing patio door twice, didnt cross my mind, thanks. i noticed those vents today paul, cant believe i didnt see them. with those 2 bits of advice that should be that prob sorted. thanks chaps ;D

WFP patio doors avoiding vents/obviously dodgy seals and then run a dry microfibre/scrim along top of door just under seal...you will get NO runs and rest of patio door will dry perfect.
Saves time too...

hi steve, sorry mate, tryed tryed it out today, after a few cleans of trying out each tip i thought if i did all 3 that should sort out the problem, guess what, what prob. thanks ian good tips. you guys are fantastic. ;D ;D ;D
