Title: Employing via job centre
Post by: Ian101 on March 29, 2012, 06:00:25 pm
Need another part timer as one Ive got (Mr Bob Plumbs lad) can only do 3 days a week and in a few months may be off to a "proper" job which will leave me in stook if I do nout about it now.

Never advertised in a job centre for any staff in my former roles so a bit new to me.

Is it true u cant say certain phrases like must be a good worker etc etc.

Any pointers welcome ...... thanks !

i always recruit thru job centre.  you can call up and they'll talk you thru what you can and cant say.

i had 30 applicants for my last WC advert.

i tried to put must have good spoken english and was told i coudnt as it was discriminatory!  complete rubbish but there you go.  you find out as soon as you call them anyhow.

Ian

We advertised a couple of weeks ago online in Job Centre Plus for a domestic cleaner, I'd been advertising for a couple of weeks locally in paper shops, asking friends etc with no response and was starting to get desparate as one of our cleaners retires at Easter.

Anyway, we put it in Job Centre Plus and within 24 hours had over 30 applicants, ok some were a waste of time but we interviewed 5 and there were 3 outstanding ones, she started on Monday

yes.  once again got a good response.  if you want to pay them commission only youll need to fill in some forms, but theyll tell you what you need to do
