Title: My price increase update...
Post by: PurefectWindowCleaning on March 28, 2012, 06:48:37 pm
Untill yesterday, I still had no one cancell or complain about me increasing their price by £1.

I wasnt out on the round yesterday, my employee was, so he was making them aware of the increase. One lady told him to knock next time, as they might clean them from now on (£7 increased to £8)

No chance... ive scrubbed her off the list! Ive NEVER increased my prices in 6 years so will not stand for customers moaning about £1.

Keep that customer on your books until next month when you can knock on the door to see if she has decided, most customers who think that it is steep rise will soon learn that you are invalueable to loose for over a pound.

I have been doing this trade for nearly 29 years and it was just 8 years ago when i raised my prices by just 50p and I lost two customers for that rise.

But in earnest you should raise your prices each year or if not each year, every other year as fuel prices are raised daily it seems nower days as everytime i go to fill up the price has gone up once again.

All businesses need to raise prices from time to time.

Keep smiling and be happy and piece to one and all  ;D ;D ;D

on this occasion the £1.00 equates to a 14% rise in her eyes......
be careful of people who work out percentages :)

Percentages can be manipulated its real terms that count. That`s why  politicians, banks and utilities companies like them.ITs better to increase by a small amounts each year and customers get into increases, than a big one say every  5-10 year.Increases become trivial this way. They will expect a increase at that time each year but think it will be small.
Its also a good time to increase before holidays and in summer when the weather is good and they have good things on there minds.
