Has anyone ever used one of these drop in heater elements?
http://www.discountedpetproducts.net/W-449_BUCKET_HE_OTHER___-UKP114492.html
Just wondered whether it would be useful enough & man enough to heat the water
In a porty, instead of having to fit a standard immersion heater ?

at 1000watts its a half the rated power of most look to big for most portable filler necks. but yeah if you got the time it will do the job
fit one of thesehttp://www.ransomspares.co.uk/parts/kettle-element-10-amp/120473.htm (http://www.ransomspares.co.uk/parts/kettle-element-10-amp/120473.htm) its 2400 watts and the same as extract have used for years, just fit a thermostat and your away, any more than 3000 watts and you won't be able to use a 13A plug

That's a great tool for using on jobs where you can only only use a light portable with no heater, or the property has no means of heating water, or tap access is awkward, etc.

I got the 2nd one down on here.
Does the trick if you have the time.

Don't know, since I bought it I haven't had to use it yet.
Tomorrow will tell I think though, empty house and I
think the hot water is off.
Having said that I have in tank heater and will fill sprayer
with hot water before I leave.
