For those of you out there that have the dubious pleasure of cold calling people sometimes, I thought you might be interested in seeing these tools:

They are great for checking whether you can cold call a phone number or not.  I know some people find cold calling really annoying, so when I do it I make sure I don't call people who have explicitly said they don't want to be called - ie have opted into the TPS (telephone preference service).  As all direct marketing companies should do.

I'm also interested - has anyone else ever bought from a cold call?  I know I have a couple of times in a business context, but never in a domestic context
