snobbery eh! cant see the problem harris for me aswell just because its only £15
its been designed as a decorators pole to paint at height with a roller which is more
or less the same action as we use with a brush,
its light long lasting and if you undo the clamps when you buy it and put a single wrap
of pvc tape round the claws the clamps dont wear either i use a fibre glass extension
to get me to 3rd floor.
£15 makes it the bargain of the century for knock about pole for basic work.
i wonder do you have sponsors to satisfy by any chance ;D
-
I have seen somewhere that someone has stripped a harris pole down and put proper clamps on it, anyone know who?

No. i pay for everything. The harris pole is not right because it is, as you described, a decorators pole.
The nominations are to nominate manufactured poles based on cost, value for money, design etc.
Fail to see the snobbery in that. Does that make it the nomination request clearer for you?

harris value for money, light weight, and long lasting what else do you need from a pole
eh?
-
its still a manufactured pole based on all the same principles needed for
a basic wfp.
ive seen a lot worse ali poles sold for a lot more by suppliers

My favourite pole has to be Preston Innovations "The One", 16 meters of perfection; plenty of top kits, strong, rigid, and light, an anglers dream.
Oooops, think I'm on the wrong website ;D

bee you just asked me the same question over at the other topics re Ionics. It is important to remember that I do this magazine in my free time for free and that I offer this magazine for free. Because I love what I do.
The very essence that it is window cleaning magazine means I am going to cover well liked manufacturers as well as disliked. Its a fact. The very nature of my work. I am simply giving the news. You can't please everyone. And it will always be that way. I hope this makes it clear.
-
yes you do if for free for now but you did say in a post you are going to try a make money out of it?
only way to do that is to sell ads? Gardiners and harris poles will NOT pay for ads, so this post keeps coming back.
what happened to the last poll who won that?
hope your mag works out for you, but your not doing it for us your doing it for you to make money out of.
never seen matt try to sell us stuff, who is doing it for free ;)
