Title: Wfp and pure cleaning agent
Post by: Mo Al on March 24, 2012, 09:16:40 am
Hi guys,

First post.

wfp is great but is there a cleaning agent or solution for first cleans?

Something I can dip a brush in?

The clue is in the "PURE" water  ;)

No cleaning agent m8, Good wash/scrub, then rinse, rinse, rinse rinse, then rinse again, and when you think you've finished rinsing, rinse again  :)

If they're really bad or 'roadside' I spray some tfr over them before starting, then scrub n rinse like a beast. Makes it a bit easier.

Because I don't want to waste good pure water on rinsing all the time also expensive due to 2 di vessel setup and tap water is over 300 ppm. Not good.

for first cleans, ad ecover washing up liquid to a hand pressure pump, then lightly spray all that has to be clean, then scrub as normal with wfp, then rinse plenty, great on anything, facias connys, doors and garages,

I use Virosol for really minging first cleans sometimes, ensure you rinse well with pure water after though!

the water in itself is a great cleaning agent, scrub and rince all the frames especially rince the top frame, go quickly over the glass do this for all the windows, dont bother rinceing the glass, just the top couple of inches, then start again at the first window, the water will have soaked in and made cleaning really easy, scrub the window missing the top 2 or so inches of the glass (for first time drips) and then rince (two inches from the top) turn the water off and scrub the sill clean (do this a couple of times) by doing it this way you dont need to be rinsing anything out of the brush etc, takes a long time, but you will be getting then 100% the next time will be really easy on you

If the dirt on the glass is air born pollution and a little greasy add a 10ml of IPA to a backpack this will leave the glass shining on the worst of dirty glass. Without all the rinsing.

You sure you got that right? 10ml is about a cap full of mouth wash.

10 ml is a table spoon. Don`t worry just if its not exactly  20/10 ml. it will not do any harm only wash cleaner. Its just brakes down the greasy deposit so the pure can wash it away.By the time the excess water flows of the glass the IPA has evaporated already.IPA is found in a lot of window cleaning solutions E G car screen clean.
