had the same Daz - the cold weather really screwed it up  so i got out the older hose which has sat in the shed for 6 months and has been ok.

i thought i might put the hose in very hot water to see if it returns to nice straight stuff  :-\

ive got 2 gardiner poles on the go 1 has the origional gardiners hose which kinks and twists like a mad thing and the other I changed over to Pure Freedon ribbed polehose which has the occassional twisting fit but only 5% of what the gardiners does.

After trying most hoses I dont think there is one that dont twist and kink to a certain extent.

The latest Gardiners hose isn't bad but still gets a bit twisty after a few weeks. Always seems to twist to the right and needs twisting to the left once a day.
Never found the perfect hose yet, I personally can't use the Aquadapter stuff at all. Sureclean hose isn't bad either.

Get back to using streamline lite-5 dazmond . After 3 1/2 yrs icant complain about it good in warm and cold weather durable it does kink and twist . I have a protecta ball at end of pole hose and it tends not to twist as much only have to un twist twice a day . Mike

i think ill try the streamline light 5 again.this used to be a nightmare with a pole tap and the annoying loop but it should be a lot better with an aqua-daptor! ;) ;D ;D ;D

Still on old Cleaning Spot microbore with little or very few twisting issues.
Try winding on tight and straight then bringing the reel indoors or preferably porch / conservatory where it gets very hot.
If the hose is heated when tightly coiled it should gain a new memory.

I have the John Guest quick fit hose joiner thingy on my pole tap.

Its the 8 mm straight connector and Gardiners sell them.

If the hose gets too naughty then it takes seconds to get it back in line.I notice i often twist sections when raising or lowering and if i stopped that i`m sure it would never need fettling at all.As it is then maybe once every couple of days i need a re-jig.
And whilst i`m talking pole hose i will say that a well placed pole tap controlled by your thumb is the best set up going, even with a 25ft pole though at smaller lengths it becomes sublime.Keeps you in the habit of looking where your bloody going as well.
