Title: non payers
Post by: TomCrowther on March 22, 2012, 08:43:32 pm
Hi All
I have a smallish number of what i would call "definite non payers". I have a few very slow payers, the ones that you know will pay eventually, but these others are not returning my calls or responding to letters and texts and its really p-ing me off. Apart from wanting to inflict pain on them, what can I do?
Can anyone recommend a debt recovery service or similar? The amounts are relatively small, £15 up to £60.
Cheers Tom.

Drop them Tom
It is a waste of your time and energy. Once you have cleared your head and round of poo3 you feel better.

I have dropped them already Art, but want the cash from the work I have done  >:( With some of them I can see that the devious little gits planned the whole thing. Filthy windows, now want a regular service {yeah right} and then after two cleans, don't pay for the third. I have about seven that owe me and wont pay and it's bugging me big time.

Go and knock their door first thing in morning or weekend, have it out with them face to face.

The advice as above is good. You need to become a pain in there a55555.I nag them send text at night call in the day, phone all hours.Day after  day after and face them and tell them to pay up. Make a nuisance of your self and there life a hell . Never get aggressive or angry. It has worked for me.

2 cleans without payment then no cleans until payments received.stops domestic customers taking the pee.bigger domestic/commercial jobs i dont clean again until ive received payment for the last clean.

i had to write around £40 off last year.its nothing in the greater scheme of things.i reckon ive had to write off around a grand over the last 18 years, mainly due to customers moving without telling me,a few died owing, the rest ive not managed to track down.i never forget though!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

delete them off your system and move on, because this will carry on eating you up inside and is it really worse the stress ?

if you cant quite manage that go and knock in the evening or early at the weekends like posted above.

I would consentrate on what makes you money not chasing what does'nt.
Have you ever not paid a bill or dragged your feet when paying?

Move on and spend your time cleaning windows rather than worrying about a few quid.

im getting fed up with chasing money off customers, im thinking of dropping them cause spending too much time on it its not cost effective.

cost effective. That is the reason why on needs to charge an admin fee for later payment. I charge 2 quid after the first 10 days and 2 quid for every month there after.
