thanks you lot, i will try tulsion, the dowex last me about 5 months.

i go through 2 pre filters then 40 40 into tank, then through pump and the DI bottle and out the hose.
tds to to start is 320 / 340 brings it down to 009/004 before it goes in me tank.

do you have 2 di vessels ? if not look into getting another and you will cut down your resin use alot more as you done have to bin it when it starts to rise

I've been thinking that way i.e. putting through two or three d/i chambers to take the load off the newest tank of resin....is there any benefit to be had from passing the water throught the r/o twice?

I make my water at 002 rising to 004 at the end of the fill, thats why my resin lasts so long.
I did use ionics colour change resin but it was lasting roughly 10/12 weeks at £90.00 a pop.
I have a pro 6 very good machine. My only disappointment with ionics is the resin TDS 30in filters.

if you had a twin di you could use it till the resin rises to the tds out of RO saves a little over time
