Title: Shop Canopy Clean...?
Post by: PurefectWindowCleaning on March 22, 2012, 04:20:40 pm
Ive been asked to clean a high street shop canopy. Never done one before.

Best methods to clean? I dont have a wfp setup, but have got a water fed pole that can connect to hosepipe. Would this be the best way??

Cheers

I cleaned one years (about 10) ago. It was in prety poor condition, faded and heavily soiled. I didn't have WFP back then, so I used a detergent and a long handled scrubber. The results were so crap that I didn't have the heart to charge for it and I've avoided them since. These days, with WFP and chems like Virosol it might be better.
Good luck.  :)

I did one last year with the pole but even so was a lot harder work than I thought. Because the fall on the glass was so shallow it was a pig of a job to rinse off . Doing the underside was a right back breaker, cleaning around the supporting brackets etc. add to that the pressure to get done before jo public starts turning up - overall a pain in the ass. Price high / start early is my feeling.
