Never ever? Ive been using fans for 4 years and havent found that to be the case. Particularly on non-sheeting glass; they're a god-send when you lift your brush off.

Matt,

Can you explain a little more, please?  Do you have to lift off on non-sheeting to get it right?

No Vin you dont have to but I find they rinse far quicker if you do lift the brush off on non-sheeting glass. I also dont have a controller, I just run on full bore.

he meens hydrophobic glass, glass that beads and is a pain in the arse, you dont need to lift a self cleaning brush of the glass, i dont see the point you directing it better through the bristles
