Yeah that stuffs a nonsense, it wears off. They could keep a trigger sprayer with plain water in and spray a mist of water now and then, not the best solution but it will stop the shocks.
Or they need to look at their foot wear, big rubber souls cause it.
Or change the carpet.
Or move office,
Or start a new career, why don't they try brick laying?

If they move some plants near to them it will increase the humidity and reduce the problem.

There are saveral treatments that will work. Basically if the customer has air conditioning then a simple adjustment to increase the humidity would be all that is required.
Antistatic years ago used to be very big business and there are treatments that you can get a years protection out of. If the treatment was applied at the start of winter then it would offer enough protection until humidity rose again in summer. These days most commercial carpets have antistatic in them so there is not very much work about now. The problem is worst in the winter when humidity is a lot lower, in summer the humidity is high enough to give the fibres earthing properties.
If you want to discuss my mobile number is 07788621555. sorry but do not have a lot of time to type a long explanation, there are several approaches. I have published info somewhere on the web so will try to think af address.
