Title: Quick update from our marketing
Post by: Lee Pryor on March 19, 2012, 05:42:18 pm
I plan to give a full update in a month or two from now as we have really only just got going, and I want to have more to show you by the time I do.

Total new customers for today so far is 17. Im leaving the office now but I would expect that number to rise to at least 20 by midnight tonight as people will submit their details through our website.

Its all going very well, I cant believe its only the middle of March!

we have delivered 80,000 so far!

what everyone needs to realise is that it takes months and months to see the full result so to give figures just a few weeks in tells us nothing.

be patient fellas, I will give the full picture once I have it myself. IMO it takes 4 months for each drop to realise its full potential. We are only a few weeks in.

In the mean time we are getting new work every day and it is going well.

I agree, but Lee is mass delivering so will get a lot more floods of dribs and drabs most people do not do 100,000 leaflets at a time which I have to say is a bold move.

The most we've ever done in one go is 5000 leaflets.  That covered most of Chepstow and more!  :-[

I think I got about four jobs out of it; however, one of those jobs led to six or seven more over a period of months.

So well done on the 100,000; that's some going.

3 of us got 29 on sunday in 3 hours canvassing all in 3 roads so nice and compact too. Im guessing your hopeing for the long term results from your drops but surely customers will be so scattared???. I use it as an advantage if competition have done drops as customers already have it on there mind. When i canvas, customers say they had a leaflet but never got round to contacting anyone from the it so i guess you cant beat a good old fashioned canvass as customer is on the spot to give a decision...
Best of luck though that is 1 serios leaflet campaign.

I will mention that we are canvassing also.

4 of us will be going out this sunday for 4 hours. I hope to get 20 houses from that. Fingers crossed.

Leaflets and canvassing both have their place. I am using both to try and take my business to the next level.

this mass leaflet drop is  a great idea.... customers that make the effort to call usually turn out to be good customers.... and calls come in for ages after the initial drop.....
I am a one man set up at the moment....20 yrs in the game though.
at the moment I am just dropping 30 leaflets a day at targeted properties...only takes 10 mins a day or there abouts.
this gives me a slow steady drip of new custies.......

leaflet drops need to be done in a certain way to get the max ROI, flooding is a good way but in no means does it mean the best, there are better ways to up the % ROI on leaflets but intersting to see what Lee produces.

Defo interested to know the numbers lee gets from 100k drop, he is a determinded lad , have to say love his new wheels :)

I have had 22000 leaflets dropped since the middle of January and have picked up 180 customers in 2 months. I have organised my leaflertters myself, I advertise on gumtree and pick the best. I have 4 on the go at the moment all doing about 5-10 hours each.

My leaflet has a better response rate because they have to put it in their window within 3 days if they are interested in a quote. I have to do an awful lot of driving around but it is worth it with almost 2.2k of Monthly work in 8 weeks.

only problem with that is your a target for other people to canvass your leaflets and this is an old stratagy which many are wise to.

Fair play to you for getting a couple of grand of extra work in 8 weeks that can't be sniffed at ;)

I know that is a possibility but witht eh high returns on the leaflets I will have to live with that. I am sure it has happened with a few but it isn't a huge problem. I am covering a large area over a number of different towns so one clever guy can't do too much damage.
