hi,
anyone use a 0800 only on leaflets? there are 5-6 area codes within 15miles of me so i am thinking of just putting out 0800 leaflets ???
-
Im thinking about having both local and 0800 number on the next lot of leaflets to see what people will use most ;)
-
We have an 0800 number, but have noticed most people who ring call the mobile number.
The trouble with calling the 0800 from a mobile number is you get charged.
I believe they are going to make it free to ring 0800 from mobiles shortly.
-
samson, do you just have a 0800 and mobile on your leaflets? thanks bee
-
Im yet to get someone to call us on 0800. Hasnt happened yet. If you are getting new number go for 0300 ones as these are free from mobiles.
-
I have both my freephone number and mobile number and I get calls on both.
when I had my landline number on the leaflet the responce rate dropped the futher away from me I leafletted.
-
thats what i have been seeing hydro ;) thanks
-
We put 0800 number on,but we try really hard to direct people through the website instead.
I actually prefer all communication via email if I'm honest ,that way you know it's a hot lead :D

just stick to a mobile number then they can get straight through to you.i dont understand why you need to have a landline, freephone etc as i dont want to be mithered off people in my leisure time!!
if they want a window cleaner theyll phone the mobile!! ;) ;D ;D
mine has a voicemail message that tells them exactly what i do for a living so if im not available they can leave a message.what could be simpler??
i have my address on my business cards so they know im not a "cowboy" if thats what some of you are thinking by only offering ONE number to ring me for a quote!!!

I agree with you by having just one number would be better, but the major problem with mobile numbers is they are used by cowboys all the time.
Every trading standards office in the land will say, never use a tradesman who only have one as a point of contact.
Yes you do get a lot of people who will take no notice and phone, but you also have a lot who will not call.
I first started off with my landline and moble number, I then dropped my landline number for reasons already given, I have now added my freephone number.
With the freephone number I get a report every month on the amount of calls I get, I have also noticed that I am getting more calls from the areas I now leaflet than I did before.
I also just used the freephone number, but I have found I get more calls if my mobile is also shown as well.

have to agree with this, I get report for the freephone number the more it costs me the more I like it.
