Title: Best Day Yet
Post by: Richard iSparkle on March 15, 2012, 09:21:15 pm
Big day today.

Had £350 worth of work to do.  Got out at 8 and had got thru £80 by just past 9...  new i was on fire.

Round half done by 11, and then car pulls over and asks to give him a quote as his windy just retired.  Went and signed him up in a £16 house and he'd spoken to his neighbours about me and signed up one of them, same price and quoted the other too...

Finsihed round by 2:30 and went and had a long lunch break & refill, then back and cleaned the 2 first cleans.

Back home by 5...  then off to interview for new WC....

All in all I'm pretty happy with that for a days work  :)

its all about the early starts for me.  if im on the glass at 8 i get a good days work done...  when you get caught up fixing stuff first thing its hard to get into the swing of things there on in.

well done tho.  that's a respectable days work  :)

it's BS richy.  its easy enough to do if works priced ok and you work with a purpose.  once you re used to working at that speed, you cant help it.  my speed when i'm on a bad day is £50/hr now

Nothing worse than a bragger

what harm is he doing telling people its nice to have had a good day work, if your a salesman you would like it to be shouted round the office for morale etc

Im sure many on here have had some very good days.

The key is to be able do it day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year and still be sane and injury free.

To much doom and gloom at times, so it's good hear when someone has had their best day yet.

Keeps me motivated reading these posts.

I'd love to be a tax man looking through these posts; I'd examine your tax returns very thoroughly. You lads must be on £100k at least so I'd want my share.

Honestly lads, I have a brother in law who drives lorries for a living and he always likes to tell me exactly how much he earns; I never let him know how much a humble window cleaner can earn.

Why??????

Because it's boring lads; nothing more boring than a pair of numpties who think we all want to hear what they're imagining they're earning. ;)

I dont see what the problem is here.

If you find a thread boring you can just not contribute to it.

There are plenty of threads that I find boring, or daft, or whatever, and so I dont contribute.  I;m not that interested in the threads about a certain national WC website, and I'm not interested in the drought thread either right now.  I certainly dont go onto a thread and start saying how boring and rubbish it is.

I for one, find threads where people are talking about business interesting.  That includes marketing, sales, operations, and of course takings and profit.  I like to hear of people's success in this industry as I find it motivating.  If you don't there's no need to contribute.   :)

Richy's posts are far more entertaining 'cos they are full of holes where the figures don't add up. I enjoy them.
But Richards make me want to puke, they are distasteful and childish, we all have good days but most are sensible enough to keep our gobs shut.
It's called minding your own business.

I like these type of posts,i believe  richards figures on what he achieves daily though if i`m correct he has an operator with him tugging hose etc. whilst he only cleans. I just keep plodding on but i`m constantly thinking "work smarter not harder" and its down to posts like these on this forum. The forum is responsible for my customers price rises that they hardly bat an eyelid to.
I don`t doubt anything Richy Wilts says at all though i have stated i believe his posts are all a giant smokescreen but i wasn`t referring to any of his claims,i was referring to the fact i believe he simply does not want to be a window cleaner full stop and that fact is always going to be a major hindrance as he tries to get to where he wants to be as i don`t think he can get there until he accepts that cleaning windows himself comes with the territory of a fledgling business and not just when his employee has time off.

what is childish are your comments here.

if reading about other people making money upsets you, you aren't really a business man at all.  maybe charity work is more suited to you?
