Title: Buying and selling on CIU
Post by: Lee GLS on March 15, 2012, 03:17:51 pm
I see that there is a new window cleaning equipment for sale section BUT in 3 months time, we will have ro pay for the privilege of advertising on here. I Personally think this is out of order, I have NEVER been on a forum where you have to pay to advertise something. I get it that suppliers have to pay to advertise on forums, thats how they are able to run, but to charge for advertising in a used equipment section is totally out of order, however small that fee may be.

Rant over!!!

If I remember right a while back the first post on that section was saying they were wanting £50 for a months to advertise but was free for now!!!!!!

If I was selling work I'd want to sell it confidentially anyway not on a forum where any chancer can check out my last posts and see where I work.

this is madness, this drives people to ciu in the first place and also keeps people here, they will imo be cutting thier own throat. there are a load of ways this forum could be monitized that are not being used.

Bad advice has been ill thought out if this is true ::), who ever come up with this idea may want to rethink on this one.

perhaps like congestion charging, peak times of day costs more.
pence per word, so we spout crap less, and are more efficient with our explanations.
extra charges for not clicking on advertising links.
penalty charges (like a swear box) for mentioning the word 'gardiners'

just a few to think about.

Some say I left Man United, no, they left me. They left me behind. They drove me away.

They drove me away with their price hikes, they wanted customers and not supporters. They wanted all seater stadia tourists. Spectators. They wanted to have the control over the atmosphere. They killed the atmosphere. They now manufacture an atmosphere with sing-a-long recordings. Why? Because they left me behind, they drove me away.

Where did I go? I formed another football club with like minded people.

But was it any better?  And was it a decision that you regretted in any way?>
