Title: Hose reel tap
Post by: H S and Son on March 10, 2012, 08:38:13 am
Anyone got any idea where I can find a push-fit hosereel tap? All the push-fit ones seem to be for pole hose and not hose-reel (thus only accepting a smaller bore of hose)

TIA

Matt

Why do you need a push fit tap.
Cantyou buy a standard tap with hose tails off ebay and swap bits to what you need

Just want it as simple as possible, no jubilee clips. I was hoping for a pole-hose type plastic tap but with a larger bore.

IMO a pushfit on the end of your hose is more likely to leak. I found using Gardiners push fit pole valves a pain because they always seem to have a small leak so stopped using them now and just use a tap on end of hose which is O-ring clamped on.

Ive been playing with a microbore push fit tap. Quite frankly it balls. ;0) Naymind, I'll revert back to my original plan. Thanks anyway fellas.

Cheers, I'll pop in there. There's those engineer suppliers in Goat Lane too. They're useful for allsorts.
