Title: pub upholstery pricing

I was wondering if any of you could guide me towards a fair price for cleaning upholstery in a commercial setting.  I feel like having to post is in someway a failing of me, in terms of being able to work the search tool effectively.  I have done a number of searches without an answer as yet, so please excuse me if this has been discussed before.

Alas, We have a quote for a large pub today that has no carpets, but 10+ 3-seater sofas that the owner wants cleaned.  What would be a fair price for cleaning them overnight?

Graeme,

I agree information on pubs is limited.

Ie pricing,   and getting paid, 

Time of day for clean

Getting it dry in time for opening etc

I think the best way is to try and work out how long it is going to take you and then decide how much an hour you need to make it worthwhile. Take into account the unsocial hours and the fact that they are probably very dirty.

I recently cleaned and protected 4 'U' shaped sofa's totaling 25 seating units. They were so grimed up that the landlord and his wife insisted they were leatherette. I carried out my tests and identified they were the usual tapestry pub seats.
I presprayed with Chemspec's ENZALL and buffed with a tampico brush over and over again for about half an hour and then thoroughly extraction cleaned using Prochem's FIBRE&FABRIC RINSE at 500ml per 10 litres water. - 'Leatherette' to crisp new looking tapestry. Applied Alltech's water based stain protector and stuck dryers in front of each Bay.

Upholstery £40 per seating unit = £1000
Axminster carpet clean and protect. 85.5 M sq. X £6 = £513.

Whole job took from 5pm to 2am. Client was blown away with result. I gave him a 30% discount and he gave me three of his pubs to carpet clean on a six monthly basis. And he paid CASH ;D there and then! ;D ;D

This kind of job I think your always better off pricing as job lot, if you give an induvidual price it might catch up on you with some realy bad upholstery one day,

Figure out how long it's going to take and price accordingly
