Title: VW Caddy / Transit Connect
Post by: Richard Shepherd on March 07, 2012, 04:27:27 pm
I am looking to get one of the above vans but am unsure as to how much water I could haul.

Does anyone with a van mounted system use either of them, if so what size tank do you have.

Cheers. ;)

You can get a LWB connect that has a 900kg payload, and a 650L tank will fit in, but it would be pushing the payload depending on how much other stuff you have in the van.

I have 2005 caddy, think it's 825kg, or 750......

either way i can just carry 400 litres (just, on the borderline). great van but think got bit more space in transit connect. the Peugeot expert/Citroen/skoda variety is better still....tho not as refined as the Volkswagen  ;)

Whatever you do go diesel. Just got rid of my 04 connect petrol/gas. Absolute pile of junk. Plus connect has loads of wasted cab space. Looks good on the outside, not as good on the inside.
