hi rob.
the topic on the for sale section was locked but just wanted to reply to it.
your son,s doing the right thing and working the right way. he has youth on his side and the time to build without buying.
i have done exactly that no distractions other than answering a phone (hands free) so i can keep working lol. However not been so young its took its toll on the body.
i have had to change the way i work (let some of the cheaper work go) charge a bit more on new work and do something i said to you i wouldn't ever do Employ.
also over the coming months i,ll have to go ltd which i also said i wouldn't do.
i suppose it,s called progression i wished i,d started when i was your son,s age i could be having a rest now.

Yes Ben is 21, as fit as a butchers dog, and doing very well, just goes to show, friendly personality, nice uniform & logo, smart looking van, a decent leaflet and things going good, and as said before, he can charge £10 for large houses, do 3 an hour and earn great living. He is picking up lots of 3 story town houses, where third stored not getting cleaned.
As for going limited company, we were recomended by the blue chip accountant, not too as we will have to pay tax bill a year earlier. This is probably because when we went self employed, did not have to pay tax till after second year in business, but my wife who became self about 15 years ago, had to pay her tax a year in advance, so double check.
And to Kentclean, thanks for nice comment on van, logo cost £95, and full van £120
