Title: Price Guide page - What do you think?
Post by: supernova77 on March 06, 2012, 02:08:20 pm
Hi All,

I've created this price guide page >> http://www.iconicwindowcleaning.com/?page_id=194

I've tried to make it simple and to the point.

What do you think of it?

Thanks,
Andy

I think its most excellent though as a lad from up north i`m a little shocked by the prices. It would possibly pay me to have a round in Hampshire and commute!

I've got a pretty full round, so I'm concentrating on quality and not quantity now... I still have the odd £10 / £12.50 / £15 house etc... But any new work I take on will be no less than £20 per clean from now on.

Thanks mate :)

I need to add some more pictures to my site though!

I've never been keen on "price your own" pages either... However just recently a lot of email enquiries that I've had have said something along the lines of "I can't see any prices on your site blah blah blah"... It got me thinking nowadays most people who are looking on the Internet for a service want some kind of price information at the click of a mouse.

The prices on my site are a guide only, and it states that we always visit the property to give an exact price.

Its a good idea I have used it for some time. It's called 'pre-selling' and cuts out all the hassle from 'price shoppers' and anyone expecting you to work for peanuts.

If you have an established round and don't really need the work it proves a good way to top up with cream.

Andy where did you get your property photo's from because i was thinking of something like this?

Guess you need custies permission to use photo's of their house?

I'm monthly and for bungalow would charge £10-£12

semi £12-£15

Detached £15 -20

after that i have a few bigger ones £25 £35 is my dearest 5 bed hse with extension(s)

went to price i guess 6 bed hse edwardian had grd, 1st and 2nd floor.

Left a note to say£35

custy said i was too dear and her old hse wasn't much smaller no 2nd floor and was paying windie £10

then she said she was prepared to pay £25 no more, i sent back polite txt saying get 3 quotes and to get out yellow pages ;D

I'm glad to see i not the only robber ;D
Don't you feel sorry for all these people in million pound houses with cars worth more than your mortgage :-\

Hi Steve,

I do cover the whole of Surrey for larger commercial work, but only within a 30 mile radius for domestic... There must be someone on here who is near you?

We must go out for a proper drink sometime with Thomas etc.

I don't like the idea of putting prices on a website, personally I like to price up in person after first of all selling myself and my service to the customer, if they like you and are impressed by what you are offering then they are much more likely to pay a premium for your service. I also like to push the boundaries of my pricing if I can, I work out a price and then add say £10 to it.. if the customer says it is too expensive I am able to offer them a discount, if they don't.. I have an excellent well paying job!! I have some excellent jobs from using this method.  :)
