Post by: colin purewater on March 05, 2012, 06:37:18 pm
I can't be alone on this one!!

Had two custyies today crying..

No not because of my prices  ;)

One had son who has liver cancer, the other one is a manic depressant ( I think)
This seems to happen to me often now but two in a day is a joke.
What are you ment to say to these people? I was in a really
Good mood this morning, the 1 st one dampened it abit but the 2nd one
Finished me of!

This ain't something I factored in to my planning and perpetration
For the window cleaning trade!!

So to all the willis gents at impact 43 here's a new course for ye to keep in mind  ;)

Many thanks

Colin

Why not give them a few minutes of your time. Ask them how they are feeling/coping and if there is anything you can do to help them?

Ask if they have family/friends who are supporting/helping them etc.

If it dampened your mood, spare a thought for them. They are having to live with their suffering 24/7.

I do spend time with them mate  im sympathetic to them  i try to offer some comfort as I've lost a fare few relative and friends to cancer/ alzimers ect this is why it gets me down.

The only thing that I don't do is ask if there's any thing I can do to help
Coz they may ask me for a lift to Devon or somethin

That's fair enough. Even so, you could still ask if there is anything you can do to help. Obviously, their request for any help would have to be reasonable. In my experience, people thank you for the offer, but don't take it up. Most are grateful that you have at least empathized with them.
