Title: Bit Dear But Looks Ideal
Post by: Nameless Drudge on March 05, 2012, 04:59:25 pm
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Hiace-280-GS-SWB-/140716942339?pt=UK_Commercial_Trucks&hash=item20c3622403

Would anyone like to rate/slag this? I`d be tempted at £3500 inc.vat.

Yes,i think that probably is about right if it was freshly cambelted/serviced and the tailgate repaired.I`ve got a 57 plate combo,1.3cdti ,24000 miles, superb van but can`t carry the weight i want to go to.Vanity says i stretch myself for 08 next, nice and shiny, low miles, maybe new shape scudo/expert/dispatch or the partner/berlingo 850kg(payload still probably a compromise).
Common sense says older van with 1 ton plus payload, regardless of mileage as long as really well maintained and presentable as in my case i don`t do many miles at all and the van would serve no purpose other than being a glorified water bowser.
Actually no windows and a bulkhead would be a priority so people can`t see me pi**ing.

Or keep the combo and drag this if required(fully kitted out with reel/microbore/pump box/pole holder) with a nice signwritten jeep.

Joking aside I tow a trailer with 200L behind my Doblo with 400L so 600L in all - been doing that for the last six months and it works fine and has got me onto two man working.
