Failing that it's get on to the guy's who designed it.

this happens sometimes.
you'll probably need to call WCPro team who will sort it out in 3 min when you speak to them.
-
if you need it before support get back to you, download a trial copy onto any laptop and use your backed up file, at least you will be able to get the details you need richy

unlucky :(... but i reckon most here have done this one time or another.
pay the extra for online backup from now on. it'll prompt you to backup every time its closed. much better.
you live, you learn :)

Whenever you close WCP it does a backup.
The program may be faulty, so it's not necesarily the data file itself!
-

WCPro doesn't automatically backup every time it closes. it asks you if you want to backup.
speak to the guys at WCPro. they are very helpful. we've had this problem a couple of times and once they talk you thru it'll be sorted.
may be worth buying gold support if not done so already.

Richy I would be very concerned if Chris has still got a database of all your customers contact details. He did come on board with a list of school contact details to approach, be sure he's not doing the same to you!

we found the file etc had all the data but the bleeding thing was what was corrupted by java or something so its a bit of a nightmare i have still got all the handwritten customer details from the other week so should have it all up and running in few days have a debt list printed out from thursday so i know who owes money etc just a bit of a ballache coz we have dumped a few more customers since then and it was all nicely organised which shoudnt be a problem reorganising it how it was,
i had it split into 30 days of work and iv now got 5 days worth of work back on the system so by end of day should have most the round organised again
lesson learnt i will be backing up religiously from now cant be arsed with this happening again in three years of using window cleaner pro this never happened to me so was a bit of a shock and unexpected.
cheers for all advice guys

I would back it up online in a secured location also, because if you had (god forbid) a fire burglary then you would lose your pc and the separate hard drive
