Title: Poll - WFP air vents?
Post by: sean84 on March 02, 2012, 01:06:51 pm
Ok so I have searched and read a few threads and from what I have read there are mixed opinions. Im just starting to change my round over to tops windows only WFP to save on ladder work. So far Im enjoying it and its saving time already  8)

Only done a few houses with my new CLX so still learning but have already came across these air vents. What I would like to know is whats the best strategy with them, what do you guys do? I tried avoiding them on the one house earlier but there was lots of dirt to the side of the vents and all dirt started dripping down the windows so in the end I had to clean around the vent and gave the vent a wipe with the water off. Is this the best way?

If you are still to change over to WFP, on your last trad clean, clean top frame, vent and seals with a cloth, might be a bit time consuming, but this will save you a lot of time and results will be better on your first clean when you do change over

Sean use as dry a brush on them as you can with no waterflow, so just brush them off then do the rest of the window normally.

Do you mean no flow for the bead above the vent too as well as the vent itself?
