Alex, what the difference between the new 47 extreme and the old 48?

Alex
I have just had the CLX and SLX off you but if the two poles, or one of them is still available I would be interested in knowing a price.

The new Xtreme47 is about 27cm shorter than the previous model, but the real difference is in the handling. We have improved the high range rigidity of this pole over the 48ft which gives greater control of direction and improved handling at heights. It has about 50% improved flex damping compared with the previous model at full extension. This has been introduced (along with the new 35ft and 44ft Xtreme) to make this the pole of choice for those that want a pole for serious heights up to 78ft with the extensions. We have also taken the opportunity to add halfway adjustment sections on every section (1-7 and also introduced this on the 25, 35, and 44) and instead of a full incremental adjustment over the whole of section 8 we have reduced this to three adjustment points (1/3rd, 2/3rds and full). We found in use that this is all that is needed and it has helped us to keep weight down and be better balanced.
The older Xtreme48 is a very good pole, but the 47 is that little bit better for seriously high work.

The SMAX50 has gone now, but the Ex-Demo Xtreme48 is still available and is going to go on sale for £750+VAT (saving of about £250). It is almost as new.

For my requirements probably more than I want to spend. It was for possible high level cladding cleans on site. Nine times out of ten access equipment is included but we had a situation, last year where I needed 50 foot and didn't have it.
Good luck in selling, I am sure it will go quickly

If you stumble across an SLX22 extreme with a small nick on the end cap rubber going for about £50 then I'm your man!
;D

Alex, Have you sold a 47ft extreme to anyone near brighton, sussex so i could have a look, we have the 48ft extreme but would consider upgrading to the 47 if theres a big difference at full reach

Hi Dylanb
I have had a look and we do not currently have anything of this size in this category.
I do still have the Ex-Demo Xtreme48 available (not gotten around to putting it on the website yet!)

The Xtreme47 poles have only just arrived in stock so no one apart from the initial testers will have these poles yet.
There is a noticeable difference in rigidity at full height, the pole feels far more directly connected to the brush head. If you wanted to have a try you could purchase one on sale or return and as long as you returned it within 31 days in 'as new' condition we would refund it for you if you felt there was no need to upgrade. This would give you the chance to extend it and see the difference. If you want to see a video of the difference in flex control between the 48 and the 47 drop me an email and I can link you to a dropbox account with the video in it.
