I live in Keighley west yorkshire and work nearby near the border of Lancashire, I have been cleaning windows for about 30 yrs, and over the years had a good relationship with other window cleaners from my town and around the area, the problem is window cleaners coming over from Lancashire to work in the area I work, why? because they all seem to think that when they work in an area they own the place, I work streets that other cleaners work and vice versa with no problem, but these guys regardless of how long they have been cleaning an area are very agressive to other cleaners and customers who try to employ any one but them, has any one else had this kind of problem, how can it be dealt with (with out the use of violence) I'm interested to know.

If you've been window cleaning 30 years you should have developed a thicker skin by now - just ignore them.

Have to agree with you mate I get on with most in my area never had any problems but get ignored by a few that think im on there patch lol - which is there problem as I pass on jobs to some others if I dont do that area and I get some jobs passed back to me.
If they dont want to be friendly its their loss mate as they are the ones losing out!
