Title: Swivel stair tool
Post by: AshWhite on February 28, 2012, 09:42:48 pm
A bit of a random question, could someone who has a swivel head stair wand please take a pic of the head, as I had a leak on mine a few months ago and when I undid it the washers were cracked and I can't remember what O-Rings or washers were in what places, and now I want to put it back together.

Much appreciated

Ash

Excellent Mike, thanks!

Can you just clarify, are all the washers on the 'hose' side of the holder, as opposed to the 'head' end?

yes the jet passes through the hole then all the washers fit over the jet  then they all screw into the rusty swivel connection that goes onto the hose

clear as mud!!

I think I'll need to get some of the proper washers from somewhere, the bodge job I've done is not giving me the right length, and the jet is spinning round too, so it ends up at a 90 degree angle to the head.

Yeah, they're kinder on your back than the short wands. I'm going to get this one fixed then decide what to do, as I bought a short wand when this once packed in.

Ash
if you need to see one close up I always have mine on the van.
Yes they are good one of the best investmrnts I have made. They take a bit of time to get used to but once you have they are so quick.

Thanks Peter.
I emailed Prochem earlier today to ask about replacements, and for exact info on the layout. If I don't get much joy I'll take a trip down to the big smoke to see you  :)

How do you o the nose of the step with those bigger stair wands? I've tried and its hopeless doesn't do a good job IMO, seems to leave alot of water behind on the nose.

I use an old uphlstery tool for stairs. Takes longer unfortunatly.
