I got a Pryors leaflet today through my door and saw the jogpost operative up my road (not jogging!) we then stopped at the petrol station to grab a sarnie and saw 2 more in there both clutching a handful of Pryors leaflets.. i then saw them walking (not jogging) up the road from the petrol station after having disposed of the handful of leaflets in the petrol station bin :-X
-
If thats true its really bad, could you tell lee which garage and which bin they are in?

That is shocking.
-
What garage was it? maybe pryors could check the bin out for evidence or maybe your could be taking the p....for some reason
-
I think lee deserves to know on a business level...
If you just taking the p then not lol
-
so that must be 100,000 - 30 so he needs to work out percentages of 99,970 at conversion rate of around 0.5% shud get 499 customers not 700

WTF?
-
It might just be the tip of the iceberg... Could be 100's gone in the bin....
-
IMO you cant blame the leafletters. what do you do when you realize you cant deliver a crazy amount of leaflets in the time you have .

I thought the same !!! Nuts here sometimes ;D
-
Its got to be a wind up,
Surely rogue trader would have called the number on the leaflet to inform Lee first instead of posting it on here ????
-

You're right Bobby, its not the leafleters fault at all for throwing them in the bin. Its Lee Pryors fault. Just like it was your fault your lads smoked weed because they had to work with you. There's always a root cause for everything !!
-

Someone must be to blame. Who is it? I think we should be told.
Vin

If the leaflet company said they can deliver 12000 in a day then thats what they should do. Dont really get how jogging makes it better though, cant imagine many people could jog and deliver leaflets for too long...

i was joking about the 100,000 leaflets he kept repeating on the video saying about 30 leaflets a handful now in the bin!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
i think its pretty tight to be honest coz hes put a lot of money into it maybe this is how the company operate they do a good job for you on a small job and then when you book in for a large leaflet drop they get binned etc
-
as long as the leafletters were leafletting for 80% of their time on the streets its a good result .
its my experience that getting 500 delivered in 5 hours is a great result . after 5 hours walking they quit, i wouldnt expect anybody to do it 2 days running either
think about it,who can walk 6 hours or more daily with all that turning and bending too,its a marathon effort

i suppose its different for a full time job bobby, what about posties? they essenially do the same
-
If this is true, that prove my point which I mentioned in previous post about his video that he said 12000 leaflet and he only got 38 regular customers, so either there is some thing wrong with his delivery system or his leaflet, in my view his leaflets looks good, so that leaves the DELIVERY.

last week i chanced on the main leafletting firm in Ipswich setting off their lads the other day with a giant stack of leaflets in the back of their Galaxy. the thought went thru my mind, that stack just realistically cannot be delivered .

when i spend an hour delivering maybe 100 or so of my basic black and white leaflets i nearly always get at least one job from them,
unfortunatly trusting someone to do a job that you cannot fully keep an eye on then there is a risk that leaflets are going to be re-cycled before a potential custy reads them
-
Thats what gets me about leafleting, when I have done it myself I've always picked a few jobs up from 100 or so. When I've paid to get them delivered I don't pick up as many jobs per thousand. The idea that the leaflets are going in the bin has always crossed my mind.

I worked with a guy who got sacked from his previous job as a postie for .... getting fed up one day and posting all his mail in a pillar box!
Then he got sacked for flooding the shop where we worked with 500 gallons of paraffin! If you ask me nicely I'll tell you how!
He used to ride to work on a Puch Maxi moped - he was 6ft 6" tall and looked like a praying mantis on it! ;D

Pleeeeeeeease Mr Gold tell us the story!
-
This is a wind up , hehe ;D , no leaflets were put in the bin but i did see 3 seperate jog post leafletters clutching a handful each of Pryors leaflets , so it seems as though his campaign is well and truly underway........ (none of them were jogging!)

Oh alright then - in the school summer hols I got asked to work for a fortnight at the local hardware shop where my uncle was the manager and there was a staff of three - my uncle - bob the senior asst who was on hols and Ken the junior asst.
Anyway we sold paraffin by the half gallon to little old ladies and gents with their oil heaters and had a 500 gallon tank on the roof.
Anyway this tank had a reserve on it at 50 gallons so my uncle knew to re-order when the main tap ran dry and we had 50 gallons left. But this time we ran out completely and when the Esso tanker driver turned up at 1.30 my uncle was at lunch, Bob was on hols, I had gone walkabout and Ken was in charge.
So Ken turns off the main tank tap, lets the driver connect his hose and goes off for lunch while the driver sits in his cab pumpimg in the fuel.
500 gallons later the driver turns off the flow just as ken comes back to paraffin cascading down the front steps onto the pavement! He'd left the reserve tap open and 500 gallons had been dumped on the shop floor.
Even worse was that one of the store rooms was a brick height down from the main floor and had soap powder, weedkillers, lawnfeed etc stored in cardboard boxes on the floor and the room was ankle deep in paraffin before it flooded the shop.
Classic.

Rogue that really is sad.... Get a life....
-
twas just a joke
-
Just an ill thought out one that went on far too long....
-
twas just a joke
Lets hope Lee Pryor never read it and rang up the leaflet distributing company eh?
-
And jokes are funny and make people laugh...
-
The best i can find to say about canvasser`s is that for some they may be a necessary evil !
-
oh give it up you lot for pitys sake , i dont care if it made you lot laugh or not , just trying to wind up Lee i know him and he is my local competition.
-
Peoples reputations can be ruined by " jokes " !
I think there is a lot of jealousy being shown by some posters on here ::)
-
So you think all people are the same drudge? I can provide many references from here that will back me up....

I especially like having a dig at people with no sense of humour.
-
Well then you need to grow up....
-
I`m going to employ a canvasser just so i can dump him and get 2 more !
-
Nameless drudge kind of says it all...
-
Nameless drudge kind of says it all...
Yes,i believe it does and it doesnt reflect well on the social standing of a canvasser employed by me.
-
Lol sorry I must of missed something, didnt realise I worked for you....
Are you obsessed with social standing then? I am happy with my lot in life and mix in very varied circles.... My profession doesnt limit me but I am sorry if you feel yours does....
-

It actually made me laugh out loud that you think you are better than a canvasser, now my belief is very different. I dont think I am better than anyone else but I also dont have a chip on my shoulder and feel inferior to other people....
-
I`ll desist before i start enjoying myself too much and perhaps you might occupy your mind in understanding why a wfp window cleaner ought to have at least a basic skill in trad as i note from the other late night thread you are presently clueless on this matter.

You need to take a long look at yourself if you think mugging someone off on a faceless forum is enjoyable....

Yes people who enjoy having a dig on faceless forums are very very boring....
Does my success really get to you that much Mick?
