Title: RO - Too much waste water?
Post by: Kwackers on February 23, 2012, 10:54:28 pm
Been producing some water today, TDS is at 003 for some reason and the waste water is nearing on twice that of the pure, any ideas?

Sounds about right to me.  What's the input TDS?

I will check tomorrow but from memory about 165?

The waste is normal at 2:1 Waste:Pure as well?

Thanks Ian.

We run a variety of systems.  Our pumped 40-40 runs at 2.25:1 Input 285-305  output 5-6  HF5 membrane about 2 and a half years old.  Producing 1000lt in about 8-10 hrs.

Others are mostly Pure Freedom and Cleaning Spot - basically the same systems, all run at 2:1 and produce at about 15 ppm from the same input.
