Title: Human error - a frame
Post by: Ryan @ Transparent, Carlisle on February 23, 2012, 04:18:31 pm
I placed a 2m aframe into a 'corner' today and turned round for a quick chat. I turned back to the aframe and stood on the first rung. It went straight forward and landed on the path. I managed to step off it back onto the path, but lost my balance and fell off the path, a mere 6inch, straight into the custy's flower bed, in an attempt to save the plants...

I performed a commando roll just as the custy came to the door, so all he would have seen is my rolling about on his lawn. Well my business partner caught this in his eyes, and he was cleaning the window by the door at the time, well he couldnt stop laughing, ive never heard him laugh so hard.

The custy must of thought we were a right pair of planks.

I cant have rested the aframe properly on the corner, but im still chuckling, I must of looked a right idiot folling about on his lawn.

Highlight of the day I think

i think i can go better than that, last year friday 13th, i was on a flat roof cleaning windows and taking the mick out of the customer, i wasn't looking what i was doing and stepped off the roof and fell  head first, i managed to get hold of the ladder on the way down and landed on my feet, i scrapped my leg but laughed my head off as i knew it could have been serious, my customer nearly had kittens

One of my better numpty moments -

Put short ladder against wall by gate to reach over and undo bottom bolt with a pole with a hook on the end. Can't reach bottom bolt properly but undo top bolt and stiff latch before putting ladder against gate to reach bottom bolt better.

A few taps later and the bottom bolt undoes and the gate swings open  and me and the ladder fall through.

Muppetry at it's finest!

Not funny really, but I can imagine it would have been great to watch
