Mine was nearly £700 at end of Jan. £365 as we speak, but have a lot of work coming up before the end of the month, so that's bound to go up.

if you get rained of for the day then make an effort to go collecting on that evening.  it works and keeps your money turning over nicely.

I never collect, I leave an envelope, 95% of people post it within a day or two.

I'm always owed money, but it's usually new money, less than a month old.

I started a topic on this a few months ago - my debt list is exactly the same mate - I've got rid of the bad payers and I know that I will get paid for all work done so not overly concerned - look at this way, if you were 'employed' you'd most probably have to work a week in hand anyway??
As long as it stays around this level, that's how I look at it now  :)

Yeah i know i will get all this within the next month, but by then ill have another load of non payers from the more recent work. Its just always seems to be around this figure.

I have about another £200 not paid, from over the years that I know ill never get now.

are they really non payers or just not paid yet?

its just business, it is the case of managing it and not letting it go unpaid for to long

The £357 not paid, is just from current customers, all of which I will get within the next month/6weeks.

I have about a further £200 outstanding, that I have given up on, and dropped from my regualar customer list. (been trading 8 years, so I guess roughly £200 aint bad considering)

Do you need a big overdraft facility to help with your cashflow, Dave?  Or are you okay with this amount outstanding?
