Title: my hose never needs replacing
Post by: Lee Pryor on February 21, 2012, 10:17:42 pm
I read all the time about how short the life span of peoples hose is.

our hoses have been in 8 hour daily use for about 4 years and not one leak or split EVER, not one replacement.

whats going on with everyone elses then?

Oh and I cant remember where I got it but they are 100m 8mm. Guess I better dig the recipts out from years ago.

Same here.

Cleaning Spot 100m x 6mm

4 years use - no problems.

Since we switched to triggers and stopped dragging the connectors about we've had 0 connector failures either!

I too had a 100m microbore from cleaning spot which lasted for years with no problem, but when can got stolen hose went with it!!!!!

Had to buy all new kit to go in new van and bought cleaning spot hose, what a load of crap, it lasted for 3 months, kept springing leaks and bubbling up all over the place, after sending it tothem so they could see it they offered me 5 pound off another length after endless emails and calls! They have no customer service at alll and since then I have but bought anything from them and never will! Would m much rather use companies that care about their customers!

Cleaning spot, stay well clear of them

I have had my 100m 8mm for nearly 2 years no problems.

My guess the ones who are having problems are letting there hose get run over by cars, could be wrong though!

its unavoidable for my hose to get run over on a daily basis.the new thermobore from gardiners seems really good and strong.its also very supple so im hoping it lasts for a few years.

ive had nothing but problems with gardiners standard microbore after a few months but alex has been very good and sent me 2 free reels so no complaints.he has said the new microbore is a lot better.ive got it as a spare now.

Perhaps the hose is made by Mercedes!
I've bought a considerable amount of stuff from Cleaning Spot and never really had any major issues.
Don't know if it's lack of customer care or simply not speaking the language.
I suppose you never really know how good something is until it goes wrong.

They do give out, usually after about 5 years the rubber starts to harden and they start to take a "set" with being wound on the reel. This is not a problem in iteslf  but it starts getting to be more and more annoying because it starts snagging a lot more.

had my 8mm microbore from gardiners for 2 years now, it kinks realy bad and has very splits in it, but no leaks.

Think was too rough with pulling it around corners of houses, etc in the past.
