Title: Towns that are very hard to pick up work
Post by: tom cronin on February 21, 2012, 07:19:00 pm
Been working in an area for the past ten days, and you wouldnt believe how hard it is too pick up customers.

Ussually id just move to a different area after an hour or two with no luck, but it doesnt matter which area i go, there seems no work to be had. This is the first time ive ever come across anything like it.

This is in essex, do you have towns like this in youre areas?

a good tip is to target the curved front double- bay type houses, theyre unpopular with trad guys, often ignored  so well worth a try

What areas you been trying Tom? Loads of new window cleaners have popped up in the last couple of years, new estates are terrible for being swammed, I think they camp outside so they can get the new owners when they move in.

Ive been hitting rayleigh and wickford. You say about camping out on the new estates, weve been going round one a few times a week, picking them up as they move in literally, and im not the only one doing it.

I think sooner or later the economy will improve, and people will drop window cleaning and go back to what they did before
