Stop it Barry it`s just up the road, 3hrs from the bridge, now if it was Durness, that`s another 3.5 hours but worth the drive.
 ;)

Was it not frozen?

it was in perfect condition, he took it out of his van when he changed over then realised it would'nt fit into his new van.

it was in my unit for 2 months. when we changed units I asked him to take it to his house, which he did, so it sat on his patio for a couple of weeks....... he just got sick of ebay and people mucking him about so just wanted rid of it.

it was a bargain at £1500

They are probably one of the heaviest TMs you could get I'm quite suprised Mike never kept it as for £1500 you can't even get a decent porty.

Was it not frozen?

You may be right, according to him the max temp of his machine is 50 C. sounds like a heat exchanger has been bypassed.

no it has'nt unless he has allowed it to be frozen...... but it only has 1 big H/X so if it was bypassed it would be stone cold. it was never a hot machine

If its just the hx that was frozen it wouldnt be THAT big a job to repair and at that price mentioned bit of a bargain if youve got the space and time - probably a bugger to get at but then you'd want it taken to pieces if it had frozen - I remember looking at one of these a few years ago being sold by a CD franchise in W Midlands - he said there was problem with the direct drive couplings on these - from memory it was noisy as f*** though

Well he have REAL cold weather up there from November, would need heater in Van every night! On the basis my perfect Heat is hotter than it am out as they say!

Its not been cold up here this year only needed heater on in van twice. So Mike aside from any freezing issues is this a good machine on the whole?? What would be a fair price do you think?

I'm hoping to go and have a look at it over the weekend.

all stainless steel, 3000psi so you can pressure wash with it

its a good machine, I examined it when mike said it was not getting hot and I found the bypass exhaust was getting hot, I believe the paddle in the is bypass fitting is not fully closing so some exhaust gas is escaping

it is easy worth £1500

They were never a good machine, of every one I have seen they were very poor esp with heat.
IMO.
