paul i threw up this cheap trolley for the young lad with parts i had laying around, but can be made from new from around £60 to £80, works with no issues, it jump starts your car, blows up your tyres, ;D 12v 17am battery lasts for days, the quietest pump in the world, and cost less than £80 not kidding

Nice one Jouk, I've been thinking of a DIY trolley for a few months now, I've got some jobs that have every possible obstacle to snag up the hose, and a couple of them are made worse as I can't get the van that near. I would probably only use it a couple of times a week.
A couple of questions!
- Where did you get the variable speed switch from?
- What connectors are they? I know on another forum they've been mentioned but I've never found them online
I've got a trolley, barrels and powerpack already - so I'm almost there
Thanks, Dave

hi dave, its actualy a timer from an old ceramic 12v heater, and not variable speed, using a cheap remote control 2 channel from ebay would be better for instant control, the medical connectors where from a company named kent, but seem to have gone, i bought them 4 years ago and i still have them, this is the pump i bought, though you can buy better ones, http://www.lvmshop.co.uk/lvm-pumps/lvm141-lvm-niagara-pump-12v.htm
