A cookie cutter? Depending on what fibre, probably nigh on impossible to remove, cmemspec have a new dye remover out, try that.

If the product is designed to dye (perm or semi) human hair it is sure going to be the same on carpet fibres..... and there's your answer.

I agree with both the replies above.

Had a customer get an old hair dye stain that he has tried a couple of times over the year come out with DyeGone.
He had previously tried Helpmate but claims that it came out this time.

Depends on the quality of the dye and the fibre of the carpet. Women will tell you that a lot of the permanent dyes do not last that long. (a lot will). On a synthetic fibre the absorbancy is a lot lower and the dye has not been formulated to dye that type of fibre as hair, has a different absorbancy. The prochem technical detp can give you the details of an oxibtie/ fibre buff fibre/ shampoo solution.

Hi Liz
I don't know if you managed to get the dye out yet. If not we recently removed several dye spots from some very expensive wool hotel carpeting. It saved the company thousands. We did a rug course run by Alltec and they have a product specifically for removing dye and it worked a treat on our job. I'm sure Rob will know which one if you call him. http://www.alltec.co.uk or 01763 208222
