Hi all,
Im bonneting an office block with carpet tiles over the weekend. Did a test on one of many of the coffee spillages a few weeks ago. Results were ok but the stains were still visable. Would increasing the dilution rate from 10:1 to 10:2 produce better results without having any bad effects on the tiles?
Thought Id better check on here first and ook forward to your responses

Try 5:1 instead, works better than 10:2 ;D
Seriously.... if it doesn't work it doesn't work, there's no point putting twice as much product in the carpet. Maybe mix up some sod met in a trigger spray, go round and pre-treat the stains before bonneting to finish.

Haha fair point Jim! :D :D :D

Jim,
Have you tried the new coffee stain remover at SM, they've just brought it over from 'The States' where it's known as Jesus Juice.
I've already used it with excellent results on a Bell twist.
PS. It wasn't me either.

Just looked at the video on the sm site, how can you tell how good the stain removal is when they demonstrate it on a stain resistant carpet ???
I am not saying its no good but lets face it most of those stains would come out with a plain water rinse.

Hi John,
From my experiences with rotobrite 2 keep dilution ratios as recommended. If needed just go over bad areas such as under desk chairs and traffic lanes again until desired results are achieved. Have tried stronger without results so just a waste of a good product. Dwell helps so give 5 - 10 mins before buffing give longer if really bad.
All the best,
Jason.

Hi Tom, no I've not heard of it. I'd like to bet it's not formulated from anything we don't already use in the industry, rather a new hype on an existing product! If you told the Americans the sea was full of whisky they'd all dive in and drink it (http://www.truckmounters.com/yabbfiles/Templates/Forum/default/rolleyes.gif)
That said I'll be ordering some stuff soon so I'll ask about it. Thanks :)
Jim, would you do a promotional video where the odds weren't stacked in your favour? ;) Marketing is marketing. Everyone does it.

We just pre-spot with Rotobrite2.
We would do the whole floor, or building in some cases using a hand pressure sprayer then set about cleaning.
I find its best mixing it with warm not hot water and using any mix within an hour.
