Title: washing red brick

been asked to clean a building which is red brick. it has black mould growing on it. This is not damp but is caused by their production on site. I currently clean warehouse roof skylights every so often but was wondering what precautions to take when cleaning brickwork and should i have a disclaimer for any loose pointing mortar etc.

40 degree nozzle suitable? machine is 13hp loncin 3600psi so plenty  kick to clean. I won't need full flow rate or pressure i think. Most likely over half pressure and engine on half speed.

Also, I've once been instructed to clean an area of brickwork recently laid. I told them the mortar doesn't look set properly yet so I'll give it a miss. No, they wanted it done didn't they to hand over the job. They got Flippin' told when they later questioned if I had blown out the mortar.

A nice mix of hypo and you can watch those black spots disappear!!

I always tell the client, if you can move the Pointing with your finger or a key then it WILL come out.

hypo will not be needed. This should lift no problem at all.
