Hi Guys,
I don't know if anybody else received a letter regarding new limits on child tax credit, before the cutoff point was £41 300, I'm sure that not too many window cleaners were affected by this, however the limit is changing in April.
For a couple with one child it's £26 000
For a couple with two children it's £32 200
The numbers are lower for single parents.
So if your profit or joint income with your partner is over the above figures you could be loosing out. These numbers don't take into account special circumstances such as disabilities which affect things differently.

but are them figures after taxable income?
so net income and not gross/ ???
-
Yes they are for taxable income or profit, not total turn over.

Yep, just been told we've lost ours. :(
-
If those new figures are correct then we will not get any.
One child left under 18 now.

Looking at the new tax figures for 2012-13 the personal allowance has gone up to £8105, not as big a jump as last year but it should off set any tax credit reduction a little.

its also strongly rumoured osbourne will be jumping the non taxable earning up to around 10 grand to try and kick start the economy in the next few months
-
But how long before that particular one comes in. It normally isnt for a good while. Even if its this financial year we as self-employed wont feel any benefit of that til January next year.

Never got CTC in the first place!

if you earn that much you dont need hand outs :P
