has anyone done this?
a care agency has contacted me to find out where i cover and about staff. I think they think i am an ageny because they didnt want to use an agency in their area, and they have contact me instead.
I'd be very happy to operate a cleaning service in the homes of people they care for, but i haven't worked with an agency before, just private people in their own homes.
I really should know about structures of health and social care, as I hold GNVQ Heath and Social Care level 3 !! I could never get to grips with this subject though ( i left college 9 years ago by the way)
I'm not really sure where to start, or if we are really what they are looking for.
can anyone untangle my thoughts??

Do not be confused, Lisa, be confident!
With GNVQ in Heath and Social Care, you are the best person they could ever find, as you would understand their needs better than anybody else.
One of our customers is a care company. The nature of the job is very much the same as if we were working for an ordinary domestic customer. The only thing is that your staff will have to be “CRB”ed (http://www.crb.gov.uk/).

Hi Arthur
I haven't a clue how this would operate. trying to think back all those years ago to classroom assignments on agencies, organisations and the link between them in a social care setting. Care plans and such. I would need a cleaning plan i guess, much like the care plan. Risk assess etc. This takes me back, :)
The care agency would just leave all the cleaning side to me and pay me out of their budget, is this how it should work?? I wonder why they chose to contact me, somethink to do with me being able to keep confidentiality and all that. I wonder if I know the person from college, what a shock that would be :)
I knew i should have paid more attention in class.
