Hi guys, I'm still looking into building a system and wondered what you guys thought regarding power. I can't afford a 2-3 motor 3kw commercial vac at the moment, so I was wondering what the minimum power was that I could use in a domestic vac.
I've seen people using 1500w domestic vac's just wondered how efficient they are at the job.
Cheers

the gear from gutter cleaning sytems does the job. a good size to move about and that.
i dont care what anyone says - what ever vac you have you will still need a ladder to check the end results on houses...

I purchase a gutter vac about 3 years ago from omni pole. Just over a year later one of the motors packs in. I call them to get a new motor and they do not supply that gutter vac any more!
They would however give me a discount off a new one! Yer right £1500 later.....
I have only been using 2 motors since then and touch wood it has been ok. It could do with another motor but its ok.
Hope this helps

Vc solutions, poor advice given.
We have gutter vacs and a hd camera and screen on them, no need for ladders

I'm not concerned about commercial machines, I'm after info on domestic machines up to about 1700w and if they have enough power to do a half decent job :)
I have a camera system that I can use to check the work as I go :) Also found out where to get the silicone parts, just looking into the poles at the moment and the machine.

I use a Lidl 1500w vac and it does the job. It has worked on abot 15 jobs so far. However, on the last job there was a very high concentrationof wet leaves and it has trouble with them. It was blocking at the bend near the top and again at the point of entry to the vac. It still did the job, just needed to be unblocked a few times.
