Need a decent booster pump for my 40" RO - mines just given up the ghost !

wouldn't a vyair pump service your needs> not much money & great service

Maybe it's me, but isn't a booster pump the same as a normal water pump ?

I've used flojet for many years, but recently tried a Vyair, thats Vyair  not By air pump and it's great and a lot cheaper than Flojet

So I mean, a booster pump is nothing more than a water pump which you can pick up NEW for not much money

No matey you are wrong - a booster pump is used to 'boost' the water pressure when filling your tank - it improves the performance of the RO and can take about 50% off your fill time
