got myself a 300psi scorpion in a swap needed a bit of TLC all 3 vacs work as does the pump i think??? had it out lastnite and pump seems to work i.e it is pumping back into tank but when i attach the wand nothing so i tried hand tool and nothing. So i took hose off and there is solution coming from the machine so i hooked a length of hose and pressed it and water came through i tried another hose and water came through that but if a wand or upholstery tool is attached no spray any help appreciated thankyou.

Carpets to DRY for!

Phil sounds like a qc problem, have you also primed the pump? Get an open ended piece of hose connected and run for about 20 secs.
Mark.
-
hi Mark i'm new to water Extraction so can you elaberate on qc mate???
-
As Mark suggests prime the pump, then connect solution hose. Make sure your pump is at pressure too. I think it's on the left side at the bottom. There is not a gauge but half way should be around 250/300psi.
Qc's are quick connects the brass connectors on your solution hose. These may also be faulty but I suspect you do not have the pressure turned up
-
i think it could be a problem with the pressure because it was leaking so i unscrewed it and checked inside things looked ok so i put some ptfe on and but still had the problem i will mess with it later again see if i can find a solution pardon the pun ;D

Ring Nick at solution... he'll talk you through it... :)

Should not need PTFE tape on the regulator, it's not a seal at that point. if you turn it anti-clockwise until it's removed you will find a large spring witha a cap on it. Put those to one side. Look inside there should be a small plunger with a nipple on top, use a pair of pliers gently ease it out. on the end of the plunger is a small rubber seal, if it's leaking it will be there. Plunger may also be worn. A new regulator is not that much but a seal/plunger should do the job
-
i seen that last nite when i undone it and the little plunger you mention hasn't got a rubber on it so i will need to replace you could see the black color were the rubber would of been so that must be the problem i will call nic and order a replacement then let you know if it sorts the problem thanks.

-
When you see what HWE will do I bet you will use it more and more especially if you use the right solutions. ;D
-
well think i'm gonna get rid of the scorpion for now as it's way to big for my van and can't afford to buy a new one lol and i'm happy with my df so i'm gonna get rid and buy me a little extractor for upholstery and spotting.
So any help on what to ask for appreciated all 3 vacs are working and the pump got some solution hose which i cleaned and the qc's cleaned just add your wand and away you go got some 2" vac hose aswell.
Cheers Phil.

Hi hector Where abouts are you from as i live in Salisbury and ive got a scorpion
-
That plunger will fit both ways round but only one way is right if it's the wrong way round it will not work properly .. Just a thought .. But sometimes something so simple is usually the problem ;)
-
had the scorpion out today cleaning all the QC's and got it sorted a bit of crap had come from the QC's and blocked the tool which is why no spray everything works now apart from little bit of wet from the regulator but new Bullet came today just not fitted it yet.
Gonna get rid anyway just way too big i only have a small daihatsu extol van lol the machines nearly the same size haha iv'e got about 50 foot of Vac and solution to go with it.
Anyone interested or give me a rough price to sell on gumtree or Fleabay.

Hi Des
out in the sticks near Lockerly
however I do not have a scorpion, I am purely LM
It is Phil who strayed to the dark wet side, :o and then saw the light again ;D ;D
-
i haven't strayed Hector not even used the scorpion i'm LM thru and thru and will be for the foreseeable future why fix what isn't broke lol ;D
-
PM would you not consider keeping the Scorpion and buying a bigger van. Surely you have ambitions to grow your business and a small van is not likely to be of much use to you in the future.
-
Are you booked up every day with the df?
-
No not got nothing booked in i'm just little old me with no funds trying my hardest to keep going and bigger van out the question i'm just gonna keep my little van for now and df i'm in the newspaper but nothing coming from it at the mo i'm gonna go posting cards tmoz try drum up a bit of custom.
