Since start of year , I was targetting for 100pound new work a week. However plans never went to plan, we've had probably 5 days out canvassing, and have managec to amass 364 pound of new work. Some 4weekly, some 8weekly. Some fancy 20quid houses, some fiver council houses.
It averages an extra 4k per annum, my 'new' target is to hit a total of 800pound of new work by the end of May. So, only 436 to go. It may not be a large target, but is reasonable and acheivable.

cool i should take a page out of your book!
one thing ive learnt lately is dont ignore those £3 front only jobs and small £5 council houses!
sometimes we spoil our selfs
-
Dont ignore the council estates pal. One of our best money making days, is a day of 5er council houses,

You guys actually do jobs for 3 or 5quid?!!!! :o Best thing I ever did was to set a minimum price right from the start, for the first few years my minimum was £10, but these days I don't take on anything for less than £25 :)

love that minimum price of £25! well done. my min is £11 right now for a full house but will do fronts for £8 min. To be honest we find if we get a run of £11 houses we can fly thru them and make more money than the medium size £20+ houses. but i;m always reviewing my pricing upwards, as the more established we get, the easier it seems to charge more and more ;D

I wish my minimum could be 25!
But no chance. A 3quid 'fronts' job takes about 4-5 mins tops, it all adds up, however in rural areas, I do have a minimum of tenner, its gtim up norf ;D

don't consider it worthwhile picking up lower priced work. and also means some times that whole house will be only £3 extra so they end up having the lot done.

i have some £3 fronts and the odd £5 small semi left on very compact work.not many though!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
on some of my compact estate work i can park up and earn £150-£180 a day.no driving in between jobs, easy to collect,i get loads of extra add on work in spring summer(conny roofs/fascia cleans etc) and good xmas tips.its only a part of my round though as i have some commercial and bigger domestic, flats etc.
to have a mixture of work is good but richards right in a way.my problem was that i never put prices up for years on estate stuff.i have days where i do less work but earn more as pricing new work is so much better.
i cant see me charging £8 for a front only property with 3 windows anytime soon though!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
as for new work ive picked up a few here and there but they ve come to me.i usually find there the best customers in the long run!!
well done ryan keep at it!! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D
