Title: new job today
Post by: idealrob on February 07, 2012, 07:03:55 pm
My son who has been canvassing locally, called at a house, quoted £15 for 25 minute job, the owner is ex SAS, did job today, went to get paid and and they said £15 was too cheap and he must charge £25 for the job, and call monthly, anyway gave him £30 and we very pleased.

Yes, will keep you informed, we have hd a couple of jobs like that, where they gave us more money, or one house where we get £22, and takes about 25 mins, said it was  that good a price, do it every 2 weeks, and this has been going about 18 months now.
On a different issue, i also have a dry cleaning business with shop, put a few leaflets on counter, and the number of customers who have moaned no window cleaners in there road, or poor quality w/c or our w/c cant do a couple of window because of canopy at front or conservatory etc, so there is plenty of work out there, its the  finding the punters. My son has been out canvassing, and got loads of jobs, and would say about 3 an hour, the only bad bit is he can only canvass a couple of hours a day at minute

We had one like that last year. Quoted £17. He says no, that's not enough, I'm giving you £25 for the outsides and I want the insides of the conservatory done every other time for another £10! He also gave us a tip at Christmas and wants windows done every 4 weeks on the nail.
Could do with a few more like that  ;D
