I Have a job in Forby (Nr Southport) on Thursday, but I am full of the Flu (was actually in hospital on xmas night). The Job is a private house and is for £253. The client has friends coming on friday who is allergic to dogs, so all the carpets need doing. Will go through job in more detail for the person who wants it. I was doing the job with the host/dry method as that is what the client wanted, so only people who can do ity dry or nearly dry would help.

Hi Mark sorry to here about the flu, I am in Southport and i
do a lot of work in and around Fomby and i do have
an old Host machine witch i have not used for about 2 yrs
unfortunetly i have seen this post to late and i am commited
to other work still nice of you to try and give work to others

Thought your network were all too busy, rushing around sorting the nations health at premium rates and not interested in this run of the mill kind of job.

Good point! But if you ever get to the point that you feel that you are too busy to take on new work then perhaps you shouldn't be in business in the first place.
If you re-read the original post you will see that the customer wants the carpets cleaned due to a friend with a pet allergy visiting, which is why i have said that it sounds like a job for the AllergSTOP Network.
And as far as dry cleaning goes there is dry powder in the range!

Wasn't suggesting I was too busy, so are you saying that the guys who are rushed off their feet should be doing something else ????
Personally, I've been involved in this business, as an employer and working alone since 1983
and have experienced the crazy 11 jobs in one day cenario which obviusly generated cash flow, but absolutely wrecked my already dodgy back.
About 7 years ago I was part of a national network, which never realised it's potential and used very similar products to the ones you guys are using, in fact some are exactly the same.
What we used for aggitation, was a brilliant machine called the Klanz K7 with floating , contra rotating heads. made in England by Wasp Engineering.
Have a good 2006 and beyond

No not sugesting that they do something else at all. Just that if they are so busy that they cannot take on any more work that perhaps they should be thinking about expansion! If you are regularly turning away work then surely that is the natural way to go. Also it will take a little of the strain off of the employer to be like yourself and possibly give your back a rest :D

Please explain your reasons for calling this job a run of the mill job?? ???
Also what is run of the mill about earning £253 in a few hours.
