Title: 1st quote help please

am writing my first one out,  is it a good idea to tell them how much public liability i've got & say i can increase it if need be  or say nowt & wait for them to ask  ????????????

always wait to be asked ,if they need extra they will tell you ;)

I would advise them you are fully insured, you sould be anyway

nail on head. if it's a business they might ask. but otherwise as above.

Ditto - they will ask you if it needs to be a certain level

I take it that it's a commercial quote.
Written quotation
Copy of cert of insurance (amount needed should have been asked on site visit)
Risk Assesment and method statment.
Package the lot for them, makes you look professional and leaves them less to ask later :)

thanks all, helen its a block of flats & i spoke to the lass in the office & all wanted was if i could do all the windows cos lad thats doin them now cant & she said just drop her a price no mention of anything else
i've looked at a risk assesment on here & didnt understand it - was numbering things somehow - also by method statement do you mean i should just say im doing it wfp
sorry but up to now everything i've done has been sorted out on the doorstep & no paperwork
