With the temperatures plumitted to -8 at night and still in the - during the day I have decided to leave machine tucked up in bed with the heater on. I have cancellecd the jobs over the last couple of days and for the next couple aswell. Have found customers are very understanding when they were rung up ands the situation explained. Last year I had a hose freeze up while setting up so not taking any chances anymore. How is it where you are?

I'm waking up to -2 temps but the days are nice and sunny, cancelled no jobs.

Only a little frost on roofs this am,
fell tops have a little white covering, its cloudy here at moment.
Makes a change for the south to have the worse weather.

i remember it being -17 at night and -13 through the day on one particular occasion last year, didn't stop me working. never had a problem from taking the heater out the van in the morning and then switching machine on when i get to the job.you have to be careful leaving the solution pipe lying across the ground for too long without the machines on. never happened yet but always wary of the pipe freezing in that situation.

Remember doing two lounges in two adjacent
houses last year. Moved some of gear over to
second house and got that finished.
Went to get hand tool for edges from next door's
step and trigger was solid with ice.

Mick,
The best thing you can do for a TM in periods of cold weather is run it everyday so far from cancelling jobs I'd try to make sure you use it on a daily basis as constant exposure to cold can damage parts that can then fail on you costing you down time.
